Here is a brief bio written by Mark about himself.

The first dog I trained was a german shepherd for obedience when I was 13 years old.  I have always felt that I had been good with dogs, due to my love for them.  I then trained a Rottweiler during my college years, who turned out to be an ambassador for the breed.  After, losing my Rott, I had a hard time even thinking of getting another dog so I waited.  A few years later, my children were exhibiting signs of being terrified of dogs, so that is when I decided that we needed to have another dog to eliminate that fear.  Turns out we saved a 5-6 week old puppy from a being used as a bait dog in the city.  It had been so long since having a puppy that I decided to look online for puppy training videos.  That is when I found the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge on accident.  From that point on I began training for Disc Dogging, and never looked back.  So, currently I have my first puppy who is now 9 years old and more than content to just warm your feet all day long.  She is a mixed breed that can play, but prefers to just stay at home and protect the family during my travels.  I have an Australian Cattle dog named Luck that is an awesome disc dog, but due to a rare medical condition, I usually only let my kids play with so she doesn't work too hard.  Last but not least I have my Border Collie Riley that has taken me all over the country to compete.  She has qualified for every world finals she's entered since she was 1 year old.

I have been an active competitive Disc Dogger for 7 years.  I have learned many things during my journey in this sport, mostly through trial and error.  I have been able to compete at a high level for the last five years.  I feel my success is due to my ability to observe, analyze, and figure out a training strategy.  I have three children, which two of them are still somewhat active in the sport.  My Disc Dogging kids are my boys that are 9 & 12 years old and compete with the adults.  I enjoy helping people grow in this sport and offering feedback to help them improve.  I feel that I often can come up with creative solutions to just about any problem.
