Indy Dog and Disc Club

AbbeyDabbyDo Quadruped/Skyhoundz DiscDogAThon

August 1 and 2 at Potter’s Bridge Park Noblesville, IN

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Indy Dog and Disc Club is finalizing our safety plan for the AbbeyDabbyDo Quadruped/Skyhoundz DiscDogAThon August 1 and 2 event at Potter’s Bridge Park.  The nature of our competition provides distancing during the competition portion.   Our concern for safe social distancing centers around the safety of our participants while awaiting their turns.

We feel the safest option is to have our participants work their dogs out of their vehicles with the vehicles spaced 6 or more feet apart along the edge of the field just off the gravel road leaving the access road open to allow participant to come and go for things like lunch or bathroom breaks.  Participants will park in the grass area immediately off the access road at right angles to the gravel road.   Pop up tents may be set up immediately adjacent to the vehicles, preferably behind the vehicle.  Due to the potential size of the event and number of vehicles, we cannot allow any travel trailers or RVs into this area.  There is a parking lot by the field entrance that travel trailers or large RVs can locate at if needed.  The park does not allow overnight parking or leaving of pop up tents.

COVID 19 Information
Due to the coronavirus regulations that are in effect, we will be following the state and local guidelines regarding social distancing.  We will have some hand sanitizer and masks available on site

If everyone demonstrates respect for each other and uses common sense, we will be able to have a great event with no issues! This year is certainly unique in the way we will be approaching this event, but hopefully the joy it will bring us all and our canines will be worth the extra work to follow the guidelines.

Key Social Distancing Guidelines

1. Vehicles and Tents will be setup with at least a 6' space between them.
2. No "gathering" at registration or the event office area.

There will be no lunch provided either day, so please plan accordingly.
3. We will be asking everyone who can to pre-register and pre-pay to avoid too many people trying to get registered in the morning of the event.  Please print and complete the Quad and DiscDogAThon registration sheets to be turned in at Registration upon arrival.
4. Disc practice/warming up will be limited - please use the 6' rule of distancing yourself from others while on the field
5. Do not pick up any disc that is not yours - Make sure your name is on yours
6. While masks are voluntary - if you feel safer wearing a mask, please do so. Also know that some dogs may react to the unusual look of someone with a mask so just be aware.  We will have masks available if needed

Saturday- The Quadruped
The Quadruped is the premier long-distance competition! There will be a Men’s Open or Women’s Open division for seasoned competitors who boost a distance arm - and a Men's or Women's division for new players and those without a “distance” arm! The Quad is a GREAT head to head competition with strategy as well as long throws. You don't always have to be the farthest thrower to win. Check out the rules below for more info.

Quadruped is $35  - rules at www.thequadruped.com
